Karen Edwards
Karen Edwards is a full-time freelance writer who has written articles for magazines like Woman's Day, Islands, Writer's Digest, Eating Well, Cooking Light, Pillsbury's Fast & Healthy, Health, Entrepreneur, Dayspa, The Bark and others. She has been a columnist for Fine Books & Collections, and is currently a columnist and feature writer for the Wine Buzz and a contributing editor for Unique Opportunities.
She writes primarily about food and pets but as a medical editor and writer for years, she also writes on health and medical topics.
When she's not writing, Karen loves to look (she once co-owned a catering business) and to collect, read and use cookbooks. Her current collection numbers in the hundreds. Food history is also a subject that interests her, and she has done some culinary interpretation for the state historical society on a volunteer basis. Along that line, she is also interested in antiques, and has been an antiques dealer. Still, it's cookbooks and books on food and drink that have been her passion -- new books, old books, historic books -- food lit books across all categories and cuisines. Her personal favorites are books featuring French and Southern cuisine, but cheese, tea, herbs and wine are other topics of interest.
